Cool guy. Out there. Looks great. Worth a listen, hell yeah.
Olivier Giroud in Sport Magazine
Another winner from our PUMA shoot, this time in Sport Magazine. We like shooting footballers because they always want it over quick smart and therefore will happily respond to direction. More to come on this, will upload a folio of them soon so you can enjoy this sporty tangent I've taken.
Olivier Giroud in The Times
Puma getting some love in The Times today, this main image from our shoot on Hackney Marshes way back in the heady days of summer.
Nick Mulvey. I bet you know him, but I didn't.
Huge impact on me. I can only judge him on first impressions but wow, his deep but delicate talent had the chapel crying for more. Everyone shed a tear, especially with his Gillian Welch encore. Astonishing.
Nice work Gilles
The most perfect night curated by Gilles Peterson at the House of St Barnabas. Unbelievable quality on display. I mean, you'd have thought he'd have cracked it by now, but still, the enthusiasm on display was glorious.
More from Gilles night... Eska. Just wow.
Do you know Eska? You do? Well, imagine hearing her in a chapel... Honestly. The beauty and purity seemed somehow almost beyond music. Gilles curated this lot together for House of St Barnabas and I was very proud indeed to be asked along by Sav Remzi, an old school legend in the game. Lotta love in this house.
House of St Barnabas with Gilles & Ayanna
Magical night at HofSB. Follow them please, support them and love what they do.
More Jimpster? Go on then.
I know, I know.
Jimpster of Essex
How lovely to spend an autumnal evening with my old pay Jimpster. He's THE best deep house DJ you know, preferred by all house music cognescenti and rolling out lushness worldwide every weekend. The world owes him for the joy he's spread I reckon. Peep at http://www.freerangerecords.co.uk/ to hear more loveliness.
Tommy tees at The Quiet Life
I know I've mentioned them already but it's my blog and I can repost if I like. Nice tees for sale at The Quiet Life with my photo and signature and all the good stuff.
MOJO France cover with more Johnny love
International recognition is always a nice treat.
Vaccines, final. Honest. That's it. Done.
Thanks Nigel TM and the band for a truly memorable shoot. The heavens opened the very second we got back to the car, which was very significant to us at the time (without wanting to get all Woodstock on you).
Whey hey with The Vaccines
Celebrations well earnt and fully justified.
Post gig love with The Vaccines
Great show fellas.
Justin on stage at Reading
On stage with The Vaccines. Justin looking great.
Vaccines at Reading
Seconds before stage time with The Vaccines.
Vaccines Fly October boooom!
Wicked shoot at Reading Festival, great access both on stage and then dressing rooms after the show. This was grabbed in seconds post-gig, but we knew we had it. They smashed the show of course and it was really, really exciting to witness the chaps' nerves and tension and excitement prior to the show and then straight after. See here.
Jarvis again up on A Room For London
Jarvis Cocker at Artangel's A Room for London, a one-bedroom boat installation on the roof of Southbank Centre's Queen Elizabeth Hall. Try and wrangle the means to see it if you can somehow, it's glorious and London looks really something from up there.
Jarvis Cocker in Artangel's Room for London
Obviously a delight to shoot Jarvis Cocker at A Room for London, a one-bedroom boat installation on the roof of Southbank Centre's Queen Elizabeth Hall. Invited by Artangel, he spent two days on board with special guests recording interviews and performances for his BBC 6 Music Sunday Service broadcast on Sunday 30 September.www.aroomforlondon.co.uk
Spector at Logitech UE launch do
Quite why Spector are appearing on this blog so much I don't know but they sounded good and performed well last night and the crowd did really enjoy it. We all know how a corporate gig can go down sometimes but Fred engaged the gathered throng easily. Credit to 'em.
