I will stop going on about The Vaccines any day now, I assure you. Honest, I will. Have shot features with Cage The Elephant, Group Love, Noah and The Whale, The Naked and Famous and this bunch too so do pick one up in your local sweat pit should you see one. Thanks. Click me to see it on screen instead!
Man, he's class. Beautiful music. More here. I'm so lucky that the people I shoot for have this impeccable taste that leads me to folk like Jamie. I thank you for your ears.
Jamie Woon in Clapton, East London
Her Long Player out today: Wounded Rhymes. Listen (and maybe even buy), she's bloody ace and GREAT to shoot.
Lykke Li for Be Here Now
It must be true. The Guardian said.
The Fly is #1
Made it! My first commission for Mojo Magazine is in print, I'm very proud to say. Such a huge title in music. The show at Heaven (everything music happens there at the moment it seems) wasn't without incident to say the least (access issues and beaten upon microwaves) but none of that matters now because it's here and it looks ace.
Gang Of Four in Mojo Magazine
They'll definitely look like they've done a gig alright.
Les Savy Fav for Be Here Now
I'm on board very late in the day here. These 5 New Yorkers have been playing for 15+ years and I shoot them now. Shame. They are astonishing and suprisingly groovy. More shame.
Les Savy Fav
You know they're brilliant but here's a link to more about them anyway.
Justin, The Vaccines, Shoreditch House rooftop on a cold, foggy day. Perfect.
Their dope is shit, yo. Or vice versa.
Vaccines for The Fly
Shot this 5 piece a year ago and great to see them selling out Heaven. Supercool guys and a well produced sound. Well worthy of a big fat sit down and listen, try here.
Chapel Club: Before
A sneaky peek at a backstage shoot with MCR - an astonishing live act and so perfect for our project. Their production team as well were incredible, so slick. We love that.
My Chemical Romance for Be Here Now
The MOST luxurious way to get anywhere quickly is with Virgin Limo Bikes. FACT. You sit in comfort whilst a courier whisks you across town in no time at all. Clothing provided (except fresh undercrackers). More info here.
Virgin Limo Bikes' Damien.
Count 'em - Jonathan from The Drums, Katy B, Miss Dynamite, Alex Greenwald, Kyle from The View and more. Boy George had split alas. Mark Ronson - popular guy, great show.
Mark Ronson + guests for War Child at Brits after party
War Child's after party. Cool as a cucumber of course and his crew told me he's a proper lovely bloke, and they never lie (about stuff like that).
Mark Ronson for Be Here Now
Hosing the f1.2 once more. I just will not leave it.
Temper Trap, Brits after party for War Child
New line up, lovely sound.
War Child Brits after party w/The Bees.
Hannah is a painter, so we let her create the backdrop for their shoot. A pregnant horse with your 4 bandmates in utero? Of course, we'd be delighted. Group Love are wonderfully fun and talented and Christian the singer has vocal power like no one I have ever heard. Serious.
Group Love in the Courtyard.
Nice to see these chaps again, making great noise over here and just back from their native NZ. Alas they remembered our last shoot and therefore some of my jokes - which obviously hampered my customary routine a tad. Sorry all concerned, and also to all my lighting peeps and their withering patience. I will get some fresh material soon I swear.
The (frankly rather handsome) Naked and Famous.
Liam Bailey for Brainer Magazine.
Liam sings on Chase and Status' 'Blind Faith', which personally is enough for me but his own work is really solid too. More here. Also do click on Brainer Magazine, it's worthy of it - I assure you.
