New line up, lovely sound.
Hannah is a painter, so we let her create the backdrop for their shoot. A pregnant horse with your 4 bandmates in utero? Of course, we'd be delighted. Group Love are wonderfully fun and talented and Christian the singer has vocal power like no one I have ever heard. Serious.
Group Love in the Courtyard.
Nice to see these chaps again, making great noise over here and just back from their native NZ. Alas they remembered our last shoot and therefore some of my jokes - which obviously hampered my customary routine a tad. Sorry all concerned, and also to all my lighting peeps and their withering patience. I will get some fresh material soon I swear.
The (frankly rather handsome) Naked and Famous.
Liam Bailey for Brainer Magazine.
Liam sings on Chase and Status' 'Blind Faith', which personally is enough for me but his own work is really solid too. More here. Also do click on Brainer Magazine, it's worthy of it - I assure you.

Strong sunshine, well turned out young people, a 7 minute shoot in a quiet cobbled street, a nice light, easy edit, early bath. I love days like these.
Noah and The Whale. I love days like these.
What a don.
Weller. Be Here Now.
BHN - back shooting and off to Brixton again, which is ace. Band of Horses - a hugely popular choice for our project (judging by the sell-out crowd hanging off their every word) and I can't illustrate in kind enough terms how LOVELY they and their crew were to us and the project. Be Here Now are fans.
Band of Horses - a live shot in between Before and After
Their space here. I would describe them as... angular. I think.
John and Jehn in Heaven
Gotta love The Fly cos they love music the most. And they're lovely people. I respond best in these conditions.
Cage The Elephant for The Fly
Big buzz around her at the moment... Heavenly Records deal and just a genuine artist of the highest order. Aces.
This is Jules, aka Sea of Bees.
Killer issue with loads of my portraits! These cover stars plus Lykke Li, Gruff Rhys, Yuck and Frankie and The Heartstrings. Digital version here, but grab a print version should you happen upon one. Excellent.
Feb Fly w/Joy Formidable
Am always banging on about Riders but in case you've missed it, find out more here:riders.org - no celebrities, very little fanfare, just a slick, well-oiled NGO that provides healthcare to 13 million+ in Africa. Not bad.
Riders For Health at Davos in La Croix
007 fan? You may recognise him. What this shot doesn't illustrate is his beautiful soul, remarkable ability and earthy nature. Find out more here: http://www.foucan.com/
The man is astonishing. Meet Sebastien Foucan.
Really nice redesign. And my big face. Click here and procrastinate.
Grime leading the way. The Brits have changed.
4x Gruff. That's a good day for anyone.
Cuppa?
Not that he's ever on guard especially, but my best shots are always the less obvious, the 'overs'. Usually caught when I'm testing the lights, as with Heathers below. Gruff is out again and has a new long player. He's a lovely chap with the warmest of vibes. His site is here. Good luck Gruff and thank you.
Gruff Rhys. Off guard.
Heathers did a courtyard session for The Fly today. I was set up waiting for Gruff and was startled at their honestly remarkable sound. Beautiful, like only incredibly talented twins could make. Give them a listen, it can't hurt after all.
Heathers. Absolutely remarkable.
Beautiful site from Chris Noble, loads of killer content. Click.

Sunderland looked very lovely and these chaps are bloody good fun to be with. They sound cool too.
